Dr. Scarffe is the President and Founder of Maplewood Analytics Inc. Maplewood Analytics is a service company that is focused on providing health system management solutions that are grounded within the academic literature. Specifically Maplewood Analytics operates with three verticals: 1) Health Economic Evaluation and Policy Analysis, 2) Risk Perception and Communication, and 3) Management Education & Leadership Development.

Dr. Scarffe founded Maplewood Analytics in the Spring of 2019 to participate in the Mitacs Entrepreneur Accelerate (e-Accelerate) Program funded by Industry Canada. The intention of this program is to connect academia with industry. To qualify for this program Maplewood Analytics became a participating member of the Entrepreneurship Hub (eHub) at the University of Ottawa. The e-Accelerate program and the associated scholarship have provided essential financial support of his doctoral studies.

Maplewood Analytics has had successful relationships with several health system stakeholders such as: the Asthma Research Group of South-Western Ontario (ARGI), the Ottawa Hospital, as well as South-Western Ontario Ontario Health Team.
